Thank you for your interest in hosting a party at Newburgh Brewing Company! From birthdays and graduations to showers, rehearsal dinners, and everything in between, we love being part of your celebrations.
This guide is a quick overview of how parties work in our taproom – timing, food and drink options, and what to expect.
How Taproom Parties Work
No Room Rental Fees During Normal Hours
If your party is during our regular taproom hours, there are no rental fees – you simply pay for your food and drinks. We’ll reserve space for your group within the taproom.

Shared Taproom Atmosphere
During regular taproom hours, the space remains open to the public. We reserve a bank of tables for your party, but other guests will also be in the room. It’s a lively, casual atmosphere that still gives your group a “home base.”
Taproom Hours & Event Timing
Typical Taproom Hours*
- Wednesday: 4:00pm – 10:00pm
- Thursday: 4:00pm – 11:00pm
- Friday: 4:00pm – 11:00pm
- Saturday: 12:00pm – 11:00pm
- Sunday: 12:00pm – 6:00pm
*Hours may vary slightly seasonally or for special events.
Party Length & Early Open
Most taproom parties are scheduled for about 3 hours. If you'd like a longer event, just let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate.
Many groups choose to begin their party 1–2 hours before we open on weekends for a quieter, more private feel. Early-open time may include an hourly rental fee, and your catering order can often be applied toward that minimum.
Private & Off-Hours Events
For guests looking for a fully private experience or events outside our normal hours, we offer private taproom rentals and early-open options. Pricing and availability vary. Contact our Party Team or see our Private Event Info guide for details.
Food & Catering Basics
Buffet-Style Catering
We offer a full Catering Menu with salads, proteins, pastas, sides, appetizers, and brunch trays designed for groups. Most items are served buffet-style.
Half trays typically feed about 8–10 guests, and full trays feed about 16–20 guests.
Deadlines, Tax & Gratuity
- Final headcount & catering order are due 10 days before your event.
- An 18% gratuity/service charge and NYS sales tax are added to all catering orders.
- Menu items & pricing are subject to change based on availability.
Drinks & Bar Options
How You Can Host Drinks
- Run one tab for the entire party.
- Set a bar tab limit (we’ll let you know when you’re close).
- Give guests a set number of drinks each.
- Have guests pay for their own drinks.
We do not currently offer flat-rate “open bar packages,” but we’re very flexible with structuring bar tabs to fit your budget.

Space, Families & Decorations
Seating & Layout
Most taproom tables comfortably seat about 8 guests (up to 10 with added end chairs). We’ll reserve a cluster of tables tailored to your group size so guests have a clear “home base” in the taproom.
We do ask that your party primarily uses the reserved tables so we can keep other seating available for walk-in guests and other reservations.
Family-Friendly & Kids
We’re very family-friendly and love having kids in the taproom. Feel free to bring coloring books, small games, or other quiet activities.
We simply ask that children stay within your party’s area and that adults help us keep running and high-energy games away from busy walkways and the bar area.
Decorations
- Balloons, banners & centerpieces are all welcome.
- Please avoid confetti or glitter, which are difficult to clean up.
- If you have a specific décor idea, just run it by us first.
Outside Food & Dessert
Outside food & drink are not permitted, with the exception of dessert items such as cake or cupcakes.
Please bring your own plates, napkins, and utensils for dessert service. We’re happy to store desserts that require refrigeration in our walk-in cooler.

If you’d like a more casual get-together without a catering order, that’s totally fine! We highly recommend making a reservation so we can plan ahead for your group.
